Every Sunday, we conclude our service by inviting everyone to open their hands as a symbol of receiving God’s blessing. As followers of Christ, however, we are called not just to receive, but also to give. We are blessed to be a blessing to others.

At the close of this year, we have an opportunity to realign our hearts with the generous heart of God and to realign our finances with the call to sacrificial giving. With open hands, we not only receive God’s blessings, but we also give them away.

This Christmas, we are asking those who call PSCC their home to prayerfully consider giving a gift that is above and beyond their normal tithes and offerings through The Open Hands Offering. This offering will help us launch key ministry initiatives and support mission partners in the year to come. This year’s initiatives are as follows:

  • Kids Spaces: Our next generation ministries are now reaching over 110 kids and students. With this increase, we are seeking to raise $20,000 to make necessary repairs and improvements to spaces for the next generation to learn about Christ.

  • Neighbor Care: As we have continued to work with local schools and shelters, we have learned of the growing need for affordable kid’s activities for vulnerable families. We are seeking to raise $5,000 to pilot an after school sports program for families.

  • Church Planting: One of the most effective ways of reaching new people with the gospel is through planting new churches. We are seeking to raise $10,000 to help plant churches domestically and around the world.

  • Benevolence: As our church grows, so do the needs of the hurting among us. We are seeking to raise $5,000 to care for people within our church family. This includes people suffering from any number of emergencies including health problems, death of a family member, job loss, floods, fires, etc..
